Welcome back fellow sneaker lovers, it is Friday once again and that can only mean one thing. That it`s time to find out what kicks to make a come up on this weekend. If you happen to be a sneaker-head who buys shoes on a regular basis, you would know the best shoe releases happen during major events. Luckily, I’ve made it my job to help you navigate through some of the releases dropping this weekend. Now, let’s get into the releases coming up this Friday ,Saturday and Monday.

Here`s what you “SHOULD” invest your coins in this weekend

Air Jordan 5 “Olympic”-August 20th,2016-$190

This Air Jordan 5 Olympic White Black Gold release will be one of two pairs releasing from Jordan Brand to coincide the 2016 Olympics in Rio. The “Olympic” inspired Air Jordan 5 is dressed in a White, Black, and Metallic Gold color scheme. The shoe features a White leather upper sole with Black and Gold accents that includes a Metallic Gold tongue representing the Gold Medals given out during the Olympics. Finishing of the look is an icy translucent outsole. I love this sneaker because of the fact that the color way is a one of a kind. I am really not a fan of gold, but it does enough for me without doing too much. Even though I think the price for this shoe is wild, I do believe that these are worth the cop.

Nike KD 9 “Birds of Paradise”- August 19th, 2016- $150

The Nike KD 9 Birds of Paradise colorway was unveiled during Kevin Durant’s latest trip to China as part of his Nike Basketball tour. This Nike KD 9comes dressed in shades of Green with a multicolor-like FlyKnit weave upper that includes Black and Teal like detailing that sits atop a clean White sole. I am in love with this shoe because it reminds me of the feathers on a peacock.Teal is far from being one of my favorite colors, but it being put into this shoe, makes me want to give it a try. Its extremely simplistic without going too overboard. Thus, if you can get your hands on these, I believe that it is worth the buy.

Ronnie Fieg X Diadora Intrepid “From Seoul to Rio”-August 20th,2016- $180

KITH’s own Ronnie Fieg commemorates the Olympics by bringing back the Diadora Intrepid model in a premium colorway inspired by late-80s international track clubs to further the “From Seoul To Rio” initiative. Crafted in Italy, the premium combination of teal, light orange, washed navy, and pale pink color blocking adds a vintage effect to the overall affair. Fieg’s ability to transform any retro runner into a luxurious lifestyle-ready offering makes this shoe the definitive cop.

Now, what you “SHOULD NOT cop

nike-zoom-flight-96-olympic-1_tzd1c9

Nike Air Zoom Flight 96 “Olympic”-August 21st,2016-$130

Nike celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Air Max 96 with the release of the Nike Air Max 96 XX “Scream Green.” The sneaker features the same look and feel as the original release with a mix of white, obsidian, and scream green with the outsole from the Air Max 95 that is done in the same mix of colors. Unfortunately, this is going to be a hard no for me. Air Max`s have changed so much over the years to keep up with trends and fashion that it really is hard to like something that originally become popular for it`s simplicity.I feel like if you choose to cop these, you might as well buy a pair of crocs while your at it also. These are seriously a leave on the shelf type sneaker.

nike-lebron-13-low-birds-of-paradise-6_z9wqmb

Nike X Lebron 13 Low  “Birds of Paradise”- August 19th,2016-$149

Nike Basketball and Lebron James continues its China-inspired collection with the release of the Nike LeBron 13 Low “Birds of Paradise.” Borrowing from the birds of paradise flower, the sneaker features a dark Purple floral-printed upper  in a multicolor mix on a black base with a white outsole. To be honest, the colorway is the main reason why this shoe is a not to cop for me. For some odd reason, it does not match the style of the shoe. The Purple undertone, to be specific. Thus I believe that if you do see this on the shelf of your local sneaker store, to leave it there. That is where it belongs.

There we have it folks, another week of shoe releases in the books. May the sneaker raffles be ever in your favor, and for those who do pick up some heat this weekend, don’t hesitate to show us over @thedemotape_ and@gabbydotjay__.
