Sometimes brilliance is the most simply articulated concept, and MarieFromThe303 captures this writing technique beautifully and lyrically with her brief but adept novel, A Book About Niggas, in ways that professional theorists, field research, scripted television interviews, documentaries and academic jargon cannot. The schools of thought that we are institutionalized to regurgitate in higher level academia alienates those trying to understand racial relations, sexual relations, religious relations, etc. on a surface level. With an intentionally lyrical pen throughout the novel, MarieFromThe303 strips down all of the restrictions and calculated academic jargon to effectively deconstruct ignorant ad toxic daily perpetuation of negative racial/sexual macroaggressions and microaggressions through her own empirical interactions.
A Book About Niggas contains raw narratives that are needed today. MarieFromThe303 is of mixed Black/Brown descent, and in this novel she navigates her own dialogues with others to give objective views of the dangers of microaggressions and violent rationalizations towards sexually, racially, and religiously free-thinking women like herself. Through the candid dialogue, MarieFromThe303 is able to eloquently express her own demographic’s ignorance towards mixed Blacks, religious zealousness rooted in ignorance, sexual assault misconceptions, fidelity, and so much more in a very brave telling of her own personal journey. Sometimes, with the current political climate, inaccessible SJW language vocabulary and academic snobbish mentalities, and all the noise on social media with everyone who believes they are a professor of whatever subject they wish, we would want to see messages showcased in a easily digestible way. With a consistently great art style throughout the short novel, MarieFromThe303 does exactly so. Buy the book by clicking the hyperlink in the pictures and on Amazon today.
