I know nothing about how the stock market works. However, this is what I do know. If rappers were like businesses, where we could buy and trade stock on them, I’d push all my chips to the table and bet the bank on Rico Nasty right now.
She’s announced her deal with Atlantic Records, covered Fader magazine, and released her Nasty mixtape all in the span of the last two weeks. To keep the momentum going, she released the first visuals from Nasty for “Countin Up.” The song, produced by Kenny Beats, is a menacing flip of N.O.R.E.’s ’98 “Superthug.” The video accompanies Rico’s style perfectly, as vibrant and eccentric as Rico’s “Sugar Trap” aesthetic.
