Top 5 MCU Movies
After every release of a new Marvel movie, people go out of their way to rank them from best to worst and also end up getting the order wrong. I’ve decided to do everyone justice to put the top 5 movies from best to BEST! I don’t think any of the MCU movies are “bad” but, some of them are for sure more enjoyable than the others.

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Yes, this movie is the best movie in the MCU by far, and honestly my favorite superhero movie ever right in-front of Spider-Man 2 (Toby Migure, I stick up for you only in this movie). When it comes down to the characters, story-line, plot, this movie has everything there. I remember when I first saw this movie; I think I saw it in the movie theaters three times because of how blown away I was. Then, I had it on DVD and even downloaded it on my laptop; big shoutout to Frostwire for the hook-up on that. To all the people who have rated all of the MCU movies and have this one outside of the top three, your list is inaccurate and, to be honest, it’s sad. I also put this movie at #1 because the whole tone of this movie is dark. I don’t think there’s any jokes in this movie like you get with the other ones in the franchise. All in all, I don’t see any movie beating this one anytime soon. Infinity War was amazing, but this movie can’t be touched.
2. Captain America: Civil War (2016)
At first I had this movie at #3 until I watched it again. The whole concept of “super-hero” movies is shown in this movie. Even-though it takes a totally different direction than the comic book does, it still tells a great story. Also this movie shows the beginning of Black Panther and tells deeper stories such as how Bucky (The Winter Soldier) was responsible for Tony Stark’s parents death. It gives you that dark turn in movies that you would usually see in the Batman films, but with a lot less talking and a lot more action. Civil War sets up a bigger story in the MCU that we will get to see mostly after the avengers movies are over: you start to get the foreshadowing that Bucky will replace Captain America down the line. It took me a few watches to understand why this movie should be placed somewhere in the 1-3 range; it’s a real “super-hero” movie.

3. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Boy this movie was good. I hated seeing trailers while I was watching TV, but the trailers didn’t even put a dent into how much more of the movie was left (even tricked us from scenes in the trailer). If you’ve watched all the movies from day 1, from Iron Man until now, you’d know that this movie was perfect for what it stood for and how much it impacted the MCU here on out. I don’t think there are any flaws in this movie for the most part, and even though the cliffhanger took me by surprise I knew something to that effect was coming. What impressed me the most about the movie is that throughout the whole film, I didn’t feel that one characters was overpowering the other characters as far as screen-time goes. Everyone got the equal amount of time during the movie. The “death” scenes also at the end were crucial; Captain America seeing Bucky vanish, Rocket seeing Groot and Tony seeing Peter. That shit put a whole different perspective to the movie now and I’m honesty going to lose my shit before Avengers 4 comes out.
4. Black Panther (2018)
WAKANDA FOREVER! I love Black Panther. I think it’s one of the greatest movies ever, top 10 for sure. Top 5 as far as “black movies” go. Throughout the whole movie you can tell that Ryan Coogler wanted to make this movie more than just a super-hero movie; he wanted to make this a moment in history forever. Yeah, a lot of the outside shenanigans had nothing to do with the movie and a lot of it was just for personal gain and for RT’s on Twitter, but this movie is a moment in history that will last forever. I watched this movie four days in a row. I didn’t care about the money aspect of it because it was something I was waiting to see for a long time; maybe even longer than Infinity War. I think the movie’s plot was quick; it didn’t feel “rushed,” but it was quick. The only reason it didn’t hit the top three was because I felt that it was missing a “dark” element that a lot of the mother movies have. Yes, it did have the moments where Killmonger came back to Wakanda and T’challa found out the history of their family members, but I felt as though that moment should have been code red dramatic. The acting, the jokes, the story everything was top notch and I don’t think any other director would have been able to pull it off especially after seeing Coogler’s previous work. Aside from that this movie will always and forever be a top 5 MCU movie.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
This movie almost didn’t make it; it was between this and Spider-man: Homecoming. Both are great movies, but GOTG stood out more, still to this day. I think what had the bigger edge over Homecoming was that even though it was a great movie, Spider-Man 2 is still the best Spider-Man movie to me, even though it was back in 2004; I don’t think that movie will ever be touched. I slept on this movie when it first came out because I didn’t know the background history on the Guardians. Right now, aside from Iron Man and Captain America, they’re the most popular characters in the MCU. This movie was a big moment in the MCU because even though Thor explored the “space” aspect of the MCU, GOTG explorers that plus races and is a big part of the “Infinity War” story. With there being six members now as of GOTG 2, I hope they make at least five more movies of GOTG; I can see it going a long way. Looking back at Guardians of the Galaxy, when it came out it’s crazy how turned off on the movie I was even though I liked the trailer - ridiculous right? I love this movie, for sure top five.
