They don’t make too many rappers like Philadelphia’s Corey Lee anymore, as demonstrated by his latest effort “October Intro.” Even after a five-month hiatus since his last single, “No A3C For Me,” he returns as sharp as he was on his 2017 debut album A Shot In The Dark. “October Intro” is one of those tracks where you’ll play it over and over again, discovering new wordplay every time like in a 2007 Lil Wayne freestyle.
Lee always does a great job of dropping pop culture references in his music as well, this time making mentions to GoldLink, 6ix9ine, and Undisputed co-host Shannon Sharpe. “Your favorite blog double cover me like Randy Moss,” and it’s well deserved Mr. Lee.
