Why did you start your business?
“I’ve always wanted to be a business owner since the 4th grade. I’ve been creating clothing lines since middle school, but I never knew how to start and was nervous of failure. One day, my gut told me to stop joking myself and do what I want to do.”
What is your favorite part of having your own business?
“My favorite part is having full control and seeing the growth. I trust and value the opinion of my team and they trust my leadership. And every time there is a returning customer or new customer, I’m amazed that people are really supporting and relating to my message.”
How do you feel about the importance of supporting black owned business?
“I feel that there are multiple black business that appeal to masses of people that either look like us or think us, so it’s no reason why any shouldn’t be supported. Every race has wealth and economics, we just need to maintain a firm hold of ours.”
What are obstacles you run into with the progression of your business?
“One obstacle is not having certain resources available when they are needed. However, for every maze, there is a path to the end. Regardless of the severity of the obstacle, it’s approached with a Twelve Round’s mindset.”
What is some advice you can give to other who are interested in starting a black-owned business?
“1- You never know what could happen if you don’t try. 2 – You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.”
