It’s always interesting when two, distinctively different sounds come together, and to see if the two will clash sonically when joined or blend harmoniously. The later can be said for fellow Baltimore natives Micheal Taylor and Tokyo Tendo’s track, “Formula 1.” Both are producers, and both had a hand in the production of the single.
The instrumental has distinct elements of Tendo’s production, for those unfamiliar with his work with artists like MikeyTha$avage and Chris Cassius this year. For those who have kept up with Taylor’s #Gloctober series this month, alongside Oscvr Wow, “Formula 1” coincides with what fans have come to expect, while distinctively standing out just like each track before.
Taylor’s auto-tuned, melodic delivery proves useful once again as the title of “Formula 1” is fitting for a song that sounds like it’s to be played “racing through the night.” Stream “Formula 1” below on SoundCloud, and be on the look out for the last installment of #Gloctober next Tuesday for Halloween.
