Earlier this year, Camden, NJ’s Mir Fontane released the follow up to his 2016 Who’s Watching the Kids with Camden. The album served as a snapshot of his hometown, primarily into the violence and poverty faced by the city of Camden. Even on one of the album’s upbeat cuts like “WYD,” moments of harsh realities are woven in like when Mir says “I woulda copped me a Rollie forreal/ but I had to bail out my broadie forreal.”
Keeping the momentum going, he delivers visuals for the single produced by Kev Rodgers and Kenif Muse. The video is shot in Camden’s Bandit Video Games, portraying a day in the life of Mir if he weren’t rapping. Luckily for him, and fans, he is and doing fairly well at it as the ink from his 300 Entertainment deal from this year still dries.
Recently, Mir also announced he is heading on tour with MadeInTYO and 24Hrs. With a stop in Philadelphia, PA tomorrow, Mir should be sure to bring out hometown fans in Camden just 20 minutes away from Philly.
