Described as a “rapper’s rapper,” Annapolis’ own Tre’ Da Kid is one of the most recent additions to 300 Entertainment. Tre’s passion for music began out of being the son of a DJ, recalling the first record he ever bought with his own money as Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 album Life After Death. After appearances on rap battle competitions like 106 & Park’s Freestyle Fridays and Verizon’s #FreeStyle50Challenge, Tre’ has landed himself a record deal after years of hard work.
One of the prizes of winning Verizon’s #FreeStyle50Challenge against thousands of entrants, alongside his new deal, was a collaboration with producer London on da Track. With TK Kravitz, the trio linked up to produce Tre’s latest single, “Run It.” From “Sky’s The Limit” to his new single, we had Tre’ curate an hour of his favorite songs for Episode 12 of 60 Minutes. Listen to his playlist below to see what’s inspired him throughout his career.
