This week I have another six titles that will help you fight your cabin fever if you can’t find moves this weekend. This week is more about comedy and drama since Orange is the New Black released its fifth season today. There are a couple of movies on this list too if you don’t feel like binge watching anything. I also had some help this week from BDJ. Let’s get started.

Orange is the New Black

OrangeistheneBlack.jpegPiper Chapman is back for her fifth season. Last season ended with a riot and it was well needed after an important main character met her untimely demise. The fifth season picks right up from the gun wielding scene we all saw last year. If you haven’t even watched OITNB yet go catch up. A few scenes are cringe-worthy, but it’s worth the hours, just don’t ask Justice to watch it with you.

Sausage Party

Sausageparty.jpegSausage party is one of those movies that you just have to go watch with no explanation of the plot. If you haven’t seen Seth Rogan & James Franco’s Sausage Party go do it. WARNING: This whole movie is a living, breathing sex innuendo. Watch alone or don’t (pick a good friend), you will be disgusted. You will also laugh your ass off. Oh and sidenote watch till the very end.

The Real Ghostbusters

Ghostbusterclip2.jpegI love old cartoons, especially when those cartoons are on point in every way. The classic Ghostbusters animated series was perfect. It provides Amazing voice acting from Arsenio Hall, Dave Coulier (Full House), Frank Welker (Voice of Scooby doobie doo!), and Maurice LaMarche (Brain from Pinky & the Brain, He’s also the voice of Calculon & Kif Kroker from Futurama). Music also makes the cartoon, so the score matches the quality of the original films. Watch The Real Ghostbusters travel the world and bust ghosts in style. I mean who else you going call? Luigi?

Doctor Strange

drstrange.jpegBDJ’s Pick

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a confusing place to live in. If you know nothing about Dr. Strange know that he lives up to his name. Strange lives in the exact same world we do except there’s a twist, magic is real, very real. He’s not Avenger, he’s no Spiderman and he’s definitely not a Guardian. Dr. Strange is basically the most important piece of the Cinematic Universe. He protects all of time and space using his mystical powers and vast knowledge of the “normal” world. Watch Strange’s origins and his come up to become one of the most powerful beings in Marvel’s history.

F is for Family

BDJ’s Pick

This comedy is set in the 1970s.  Based on the life of comedian Bill Burr. Bill is the voice of Frank Murphy, the main character. Frank is a veteran who lives in the suburbs with his wife and their three children. This isn’t your typical adult comedy centered around a crazy home environment. F is for Family incorporates the use of 70s nostalgia, which makes this comedy one of the best. Season two was added not too long ago, go binge watch season 1 & 2. You won’t be disappointed.

The OA

theOA.jpegHave you ever wondered what happens to you after you die? Do you go to hell? Do you go to that wonderful paradise in the sky? Maybe we just have an endless dream. Who knows? I sure don’t. The OA explores the phenomenon of near-death experiences, where we “die and coming back to life”. Prairie Johnson returns home after being missing for seven years. When she left she was blind. When she makes it back home she has 20/20 vision. How did she gain the ability to see again? Watch The OA tell her story about her seven-year journey.
