Pass The Aux – May 10, 2017

Everyone's favorite segment has returned!

Logic feat. Killer Mike – “Confess”

Logic is in a completely different lane with his new album, Everybody. The whole music industry is buzzing. He pushed the envelope and I have no problem with that because it’s great music.

Meek Mill – “Left Hollywood”

Meek came through with his 3-track mixtape entitled, Meekend Music. His tracks with A$AP Ferg and Young Thug were lit, but this is my favorite of the three. I feel like Meek is at his best when he’s spitting real life bars that drew listeners like me to him in the first place.

dvsn – “Think About Me”

The OVO duo has been very quiet since their Sept. 5th project, so some heat long overdue. This new single picks up right where they left off. Easily one of the most talented R&B acts out there right now.

Plies feat. Kodak Black – “Real Hitta”

Two of the most country accents in rap linked up on this one and it’s a perfect match. A trash Kodak song is already a rare sighting, but even Plies came with the heat on this track.

Russ – “The Stakeout”

This new Russ project is really A1. From start to finish, it’s a pretty impressive showing. One of his strongest efforts came on this track, where his flow was impeccable.

Tory Lanez & Dave East – “Out of Center”

Tory Lanez gets plenty of love for singing but don’t forget that the boy has bars. Dave East on the other hand never misses. These two come together for one of the best songs I’ve heard in a minute.

GoldLink – “Pray Everyday”

Put “Crew” on pause for a minute. Yeah, I get it it’s going on every playlist imaginable this summer. Keep in mind though that GoldLink dropped a whole project that you SHOULD be listening to.

Playboi Carti – “Magnolia”

I did not want to like “Magnolia” but I ended up loving this joint. I can’t stop listening to it. I think Pierre deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.

Domani feat. London Jae – “Paris”

Atlanta’s Domani is a name to take note of. You heard it here first.

Travis Scott feat. Young Thug “Yah Yah”

This song sounds like a rollercoaster and I love it. I don’t know what Young Thug is saying but it’s one of my favorite Thug verses.
