What Kicks To Cop This Weekend (10/21) & (10/22)
Welcome back everyone for this week’s edition of WTCTW. There are a few sought after releases coming to stores this weekend, which means that even though some of these shoes are reasonably priced, they will ultimately be hard to get. Luckily, I’ve made it easy for you to narrow down your search by picking out some of the shoe highlights for this week. Now it’s time to see what’s in store for you guys this Saturday and Sunday.
Saucony Grid SD “Pumpkin Spice” – October 21st – $120
In paying homage to the unofficial official beverage of fall, the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Saucony has whipped up a lit little treat of their own, giving us the “Pumpkin Spice” Grid SD. Inspiration for the sneaker in turn comes from bold orange and tan hues of the autumn season. Not only is my favorite color orange, but growing up, my dad used to wear Saucony`s almost all the time. This shoe epitomizes how far the brand has come, keeping their signature style while at the same time, offering new options for the sneaker lovers out there. For me, this is a definite cop.
Air Jordan 6 “Pinnacle Metallic Gold” – October 22nd – $250
To me, this particular Jordan 6 looks like the shoe that wasn’t released in the gold medal pack when it was first released, but should’ve. Nonetheless, the Metallic Gold style shines across the upper part of the shoe, while white accents mark the tongue, heel and midsole. Lastly, one of the best things about this shoe is 3D gold Jumpman hangtag that comes with it. I personally think that our sneaker director Tex would love this sneaker because to be honest, this shoe is like his personality, flashy.
Nike Air Max 95 “Multicolor” – October 21st – $170
Slated to be a women’s exclusive, this Air Max 95’s defining style consists of its multi- colored upper, which is comprised of fake dyed pony hair, alongside leather accents. The paneled theme consists of blue, red, peach and teal tones, while it’s nicely complemented with black at the top. While I’m not sure about the fake pony hair because of the fact that it reminds me of burning beauty supply store pack hair, I do think this style does have a quirky factor to it. So I do think that if you’re a woman and you’re in the market for a cute pair of sneakers, then you should go and buy a pair
Ewing 33 Hi Pink Ribbon – October 21st – $120
October is breast cancer awareness month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease, and to further spread the message, this special edition Ewing 33 Hi is introduced. Utilizing pink as its primary color, which is also the international color of breast cancer awareness, the vibrant pair is nicely accentuated with pops of white throughout to solidify its eye-catching theme. Furthermore, the Kay Yow ribbon is evident across the heel, which is a mark of expressing moral support for women with breast cancer. For those whole don’t know who Kay Yow is, she was a former basketball coach for NC State University women`s basketball for over 30 years. I think that if you’re not only into a great basketball sneaker, but also into supporting a real cause, then you should take this shoe up off of the display shelf.
There we have it folks, another week of shoe releases in the books. May the sneaker raffles be ever in your favor, and for those who do pick up some heat this weekend, don’t hesitate to show us over @thedemotape_ and @gabbydotjay__.
